Universal catalytic converter sourcing for replacement exhaust parts

Independent automotive parts sourcing. Define vehicle application, order unit and destination so we can request factory quotes on converters used as emissions replacements—not delete pipes or sensor defeat parts.

Fitment information to supply

Vehicle and engine

Record model year, make, model and engine family or VIN. A catalog title such as universal catalytic converter does not prove the shell belongs on that engine. Leave unresolved chassis codes visible rather than guessing a bank or body style.

Position and interface

State bank 1 versus bank 2, front versus rear, inlet and outlet diameters, overall length, flange or pipe style, and oxygen-sensor bung location. Matching appearance of a car catalytic converter photograph is not confirmation of the pipe layout.

Quantity and packing

Give pieces by vehicle position, not a vague kit count. Ask which catalytic converter gasket, clamps or heat shield the quotation includes, and whether a remanufactured unit would carry a core charge if that supply path appears.

Destination and timing

Provide destination ZIP or state and a requested delivery window. Application documents and freight Incoterms stay on the quotation; they are not implied by this website.

Read the aftermarket RFQ checklist before comparing shells, or open the inquiry catalog.

Before committing to an order

Can a matching name prove fitment?

No. Ask for the vehicle application listing, OE reference used only for identification, mounting position and interface dimensions. A replacement catalytic converter label without those fields stays pending.

Is a quote required to inquire?

No. A target budget in USD per piece or for the whole order is optional. Quantity, destination and specification still define the request even when you have not collected competing prices.

Can lead time be assumed?

No. Sample timing, production release and transport to the destination ZIP belong in the supplier response. This service does not publish stock or factory calendars.

Does a supplier document certify our service?

No. Test reports, supplier declarations and warranty wording apply only to the stated converter, batch and destination. They do not become Catalystbay Sourcing credentials.

How a sourcing request moves forward

Clarify

Resolve converter construction (cylindrical, oval, sensor-port or direct-fit), vehicle-position quantity and destination state. Flag delete-pipe or emissions-defeat requests as out of scope.

Request

Ask manufacturers for comparable quote scope: substrate or assembly description, included hardware, packing unit, sample terms and documents tied to the offered part number.

Review

Align unit cost, freight, taxes and service fees before ranking offers. Compare new versus remanufactured statements only when the supplier discloses that status.

Confirm

Record the accepted specification, remaining open questions and each party’s shipment responsibility. Unverified CARB or EPA language stays unmarked as approved.

Send the converter specification and application

Include quantity, order unit and destination. Optional budget and supplier preference can travel with the same inquiry.
